about

The second album from ONIROPHAGUS is dark and evil, with a great use of three guitarists. This has to be the best modern Doom/Death Metal album I have ever heard. There is a lot going on with this album, and it’s hard to fit everything into one review. “Endarkenment (Illumination Through Putrefaction)” is truly an experience.
Review from Metal Temple (9/10)

Onirophagus manage to interweave the Death and Doom Metal parts so skillfully that neither aggression nor melody nor melancholy are lost. "Endarkenment" is the perfect starting shot that no fan of first-class Death/Doom should miss. DEFINITIVE BUYING RECOMMENDATION!!!
Review from Black Salvation (8.5/10)

Onirophagus have clearly put a lot of their soul into this record, and it really does shine through. Each track is a mini work of art in its own right, and all are totally engrossing in terms of their construction and delivery. The wonderful balance of pitch black darkness against a shining light of masterful Doom is quite stunning to witness, you can easily listen to this album many times over and each visit will offer something new and different
Review from PlanetMosh (4/5)

The phrase CRUSHING DOOM was made for a band like Onirophagus. Well, CRUSHING DEATH/DOOM, is more accurate I suppose, but it probably doesn't matter too much. The operative word here is CRUSHING.
